Gathering Place

I just received my copy of  Entertaining in the French Style  by Eileen W. Johnson.  It is a charming book with historical tid-bits and anecdotal stories interlaced with beautiful photos offering a glimpse into the lives of the inhabitants of each region she visits from the Provencal countryside to the Luberon mountains to the heart of Paris.

A recipe and wine pairing is given from each of the eight locales along the way and the imagery –by photographer Brie Williams– has set my mouth to watering.

—I'm off to see what I can round up for a late supper!

Hi, Debra: Thank you for letting me know. I love books and enjoy sharing my favorites with others. I need to visit you and take a look at the textiles you offer. I was reading your profile a bit and am interested in learning more. All the best, ~LeAnn

Hi, Mel. Though it's not a large book, it was well worth the purchase price I thought. I thoroughly enjoyed perusing its pages and I know I'll return to it again. It would make a very nice gift for someone...fun to include in a gift basket with ingredients for one of the recipes. :) LeAnn
